P. mlokosewitschii
$140.00 (excl. tax)
Bewitching! Affectionately referred to as ?Molly the Witch? due to the eye-bending and tongue-twisting name, P. mlokosewitschii, heard of in the whispers of collectors, has an air of mystique that surrounds it and is rarely offered. Recently designated as a subspecies of P. daurica, this offering is for the yellow flowering plants strongly associated and near synonymous with this subspecies. 4 inch flowers are a goblet shaped in a spectacular, clear, glowing yellow – one of the few true yellows amongst herbaceous species peonies. Plants are showy with outstanding, glaucous, ovate leaflets and bloom very early. Buds are flat. Grows best in light shade. A gorgeous species plant that is sure to mesmerize and enchant all who cross her path. Native to the Russian Caucasus mountains. One flower per stem.
