Glistening white semi-double flowers of an impressive size with deep and dramatic lavender flares at the base of the petal produce a striking contrast, drawing the viewer in. This unusual colour combination in the Itoh group of peonies makes Cora Louise a standout; a pristine white is not often represented in the Itoh group of peonies. Strong, rigid stems hold the flower upright under all conditions, as expected of an intersectional peony, and attractive, deep green Itoh type foliage results in a good looking plant all season long. Flowers increase in fullness on well grown specimens or in good growing seasons. Named after the hybridizer?s grandmother. Occasional side buds extend the bloom period.
