A delectable two scoop combo of strawberry and vanilla sorbet is served up by this fanciful and sassy peony! High crowned, pink and cream flowers resemble the popular frozen dessert that we are all familiar with. The bloom form is bomb-double, but petal organization is not always consistent and well defined, so a bush can produce flowers of differing appearance, providing a riot of visual interest in the landscape but not so unharmoniously that it is offputting. The guard petals are large and broad, encircling a high built centre of cream petaloids, and distributed throughout are larger rose-pink petaloids that reach for the sky, giving the impression of sorbet scooped onto a saucer. Large, showy flowers with personality and a wow factor! Side buds present that extend the bloom period. Reportedly discovered by a Dutch plantsperson while visiting South Korea.
