Highly regarded by peony enthusiasts that encounter it, Joker is an excellent landscape variety with a shorter stature and great plant habit that holds its flowers upright without a need for staking. The real magic and notable feature of this variety is in its colour progression – well organized double flowers have a dramatic colour shift from a bright pink upon opening to a near white with a pink picotee along the petal margin. The center of the flower also tends to retain a rosy heart. The overall effect of plants with flowers in various stages of bloom is nothing short of magnificent.
