A unique and graceful plant that captivates and sends our imagination into orbit, Wind Chimes, as its name implies, has elegant, nodding, bell shaped flowers that are reminiscent of windflowers. Unusual for the lavender hues of the flower and for its finely dissected foliage that cascades down, almost as if in waves. Though the flowers are nodding, they are held and presented well above the plant.? As the hybridizer of the plant has pointed out, the finely cut nature of the foliage calls back to the P. tenuifolia fernleaf heritage, but the foliage is much broader than seen in the species. This is a variety that challenges the traditional peony look, and the overall effect is a plant that is a spectacle in the landscape.
