One of Lemoine?s four famed witmanniana hyrbrids, Avante Garde is routinely covered with tasteful, smoky-pink single flowers. Flowers fade gracefully to cream, producing a gentle pink picotee effect and revealing prominent veining through the petals along the way. Fantastic and dramatic magenta coloured filaments are colour coordinated with the stigmas. Stems are clothed in shiny deep green foliage and carry the flowers without the need for support. Mature specimens are breathtaking. An early flowering variety that is treasured by collectors and seldom seen. One flower per stem.
