Planting Spring Garlic

It’s spring garlic planting, in the fields of Parkland Peonies. We specialize in peonies but we also love our garlic.

The secret to planting great spring garlic, is planting healthy cloves that have been stored over winter properly. Second success for spring garlic is planting your garlic early in the spring, as soon as the garlic is workable. Chit your garlic at room temperature for a week after pulling your garlic out of winter storage is optimal for the garlic to start pushing out roots. Plant and watch it grow, without the fear of no snow cover or freezing temperatures that might damage your cloves over winter.
