A magical Japanese-form variety producing very large, graceful white blooms with petals that billow and ripple out like sheets of cotton hung outside to dry. At first glance, the flowers resemble single-form flowers upon opening. Upon closer inspection, and as the flower matures, unique white staminodes edged in yellow are apparent at the centre of the flower. Occasional larger white petals may pierce this center, interspersed amongst the staminodes. Buds are pink and the flowers open in a soft blush, soon bleaching to white. Stems are tall and stately, lending a regal look to the plant, and strong and straight, keeping blooms facing skyward. Plants are routinely covered in flowers, obscuring the attractive, deep blue-green foliage from a bird?s eye view. Side buds extend the blooming period.
