Silver Dawn (Selection)
$38.00 (excl. tax)
Graceful early blooms of creamy white are softly flushed with warmth and finished with a delicate, ruffled crêpe-paper texture. The single flowers are luminous and refined, centered with bright golden stamens and accented by red-tipped carpels. Plants are upright, compact, and very vigorous, with sturdy stems and excellent silver-green foliage that remains attractive throughout the season. An important descendant of the original Saunders Silver Dawn (1949), now lost to cultivation.
WHY WE LOVE IT: This Silver Dawn selection is an excellent early garden plant with strong growth, clean foliage, and consistent flowering. It blooms early with well-held creamy white singles and forms a sturdy, upright plant that performs reliably year after year. Its proven fertility and use in peony breeding add long-term value beyond the garden, making it especially worthwhile for growers and collectors.
