Lavender. Saunders. 1939. Herbaceous hybrid. Parentage: (Albiflora x coriacea) Early-mid season bloom. A strain. Lovely pale lavender, becoming more delicate as the flower ages. The flower center is formed with golden stamens and dark lavender or burgundy carpels, contrasting nicely with the lavender coloration of the petals. A really beautiful rare plant and flower, referred to as a garden pearl. May prove to be a difficult subject to grow in some soils, requires good drainage to help eliminate disease issues.
