A cute Japanese type that has all the no-fuss features that make the Japanese-form plants so desirable – a fast rate of increase, prolific production of flowers,  and strong stems that keep the flowers upright without a need for staking. Lauren’s joyful flowers have soft pink guard petals and a happy yellow centre of staminodes, a combination that has proven pleasing time and time again in peonies. Plants are tall and graceful at a height of roughly 3 feet. An alluring perfume is produced by the multitude of blooms. Side buds are notable in that there are many, greatly contributing to the color that is worn by the plant and significantly extending the bloom period.
