A late 19th century introduction by prolific French breeder Felix Crousse that’s enduring popularity is matched by its enduring quality.  The colour of the pleasing globular double flowers is most distinct amongst other heirloom cultivars of this time period and has been described as a shell pink or a lilac-white. Crimson red flecks can be observed randomly distributed amongst central petals. Flowers are very fragrant, producing a beautiful aroma that wafts through the garden. Stems are strong and present the flowers high above the attractive, deep green foliage. We don’t see this century-old plant ever going out of style! Side buds extend the bloom period.
