Hillary. Anderson, R.F.. 1999. Intersectional. Parentage: herbaceous x tree hybrid. Seed parent. Bartzella, open pollinated, (questionable). Deep coral pink over cream semi-double blooms upon opening. Flowers fade at different rates to cream, amber and pink to create a bush with many different flower colors displayed at one time, a real traffic stopper! Excellent plant habit. Hillary is one of the best intersectional for flower form, color and plant habit. No fertility noted. Note: Awarded the American Peony Society’s Gold Medal in 2020, Recipient of the Award of Landscape Merit in 2009. Photos courtesy of Leena Liljestrand.
