Pinch me, because a peony in bloom for over 2 weeks truly does sound like a fantasy! Fantasy becomes reality with Floral Fantasy, achieving an extending bloom time with its heavy flowering nature and many side buds. Its single flowers are constantly evolving, at first opening suffused in pink and transitioning through a range of orange, pink and peachy pastels before finally coming to rest at a cream colour. Bright rose-pink stigmas and cherry basal flares embellish the flower with a finishing touch. Flowers are not presented too high above, or too deep within the attractive green foliage, but sit just perfectly atop. Strong, rigid stems hold the flower upright under all conditions, as expected of an intersectional peony, and attractive, deep green Itoh type foliage results in a good looking plant all season long. Side buds extend the blooming period. Rare and seldom offered.
