Festival Queen
$36.00 (excl. tax)
All hail this queen! Festival Queen has a most unique double form and is adorned with a crown of pure white, represented by a central tuft of petals that peek through a central puff of yellow petaloids with an approximate radial symmetry. She wears a colour coordinated white guard petal skirt. The overall effect is an unusual flower within a flower-type bloom. Without this central tuft, Festival Queen would have the appearance of a very standard Japanese-form variety. Tall, free flowering, and fuss free, Festival Queen represents the work of Eugene Lins, a brilliant hybridizer with a keen eye for quality peonies. His plants have seen limited distribution, especially in Canada, and should be more widely grown. Highly recommended for those looking to grow something different. Side buds present that extend the blooming period.
