A marvel that has stood up to the test of time, Felix Crousse is a representative of late 19th century French breeding that still remains popular to this day. The double flowers are a brilliant raspberry red and have a great lustrous sheen to them. The guard petals are broad and the flower overall is well formed and neatly arranged. Felix Crousse has a long and successful track record for its use as a cut flower, still being present in that industry to this day. As one would expect for a variety that has enjoyed over a century of success, plants are robust, vigorous and productive. Occasional side buds extend the blooming period. Growing this plant is like owning a little piece of peony history!
