Dawn Glow
$40.00 (excl. tax)
A beautiful name that captures the ethereal, delicate nature of the flower. This plant has a very interesting and distinguished chain of possession passing from the hands of the Saunders family, Roy Pehrson, Chris Laning, and Don Hollingsworth. The fact that this plant generated interest among this crowd should speak volumes to its desirable qualities. Dawn Glow?s glow is produced by pale ivory petals that contain demure lavender-pink basal flares. Flowers are large and single and display slight crinkling in the petals, akin to a crepe paper effect. A descendant from Saunders? now extinct Silver Dawn, Dawn Glow is the parent of many desirable traits in its progeny such as pastel colours and patterned flowers, according to Don Hollingsworth. The foliage has large leaflets and is quite striking in the landscape. A plant with a distinguished history and presence in the landscape makes for a great collector?s find. One flower per stem.
