Yet another wonderful variety produced by the Brand Nursery, David Harum is a peony with a unique form and is a desirable plant for cut flowers. The double, cerise-red coloured flowers have prominent guard petals that encircle a centre of densely packed and closely held petals. The overall effect is a low profile bomb form, most appealing and unusual in peonies. The large blooms are carried very well on sturdy stems and produced in abundance on this floriferous variety. Unique and rarely offered. Side buds extend the blooming period.
