A playful Japanese variety, at times more worn like an anemone-form, with delightful contrasting pink and white petals. Cora Stubbs is notable in the Japanese/anemone-form peonies for producing a very full centre, nicely rounded, that resembles a heaping scoop of raspberry ripple ice cream with its white and pink petaloids! Guard petals are a medium rose pink and surround a central mass of white petaloids sporadically suffused with pink with larger pink petaloids occasionally interspersed. On well grown plants the flower form nears a bomb-double. Another great feature of this plant is that no staking is required! Strong stems keep the fluffy pom poms afloat. Very fragrant. Plants show nice vigor, and many side buds lead to a plant that is covered in blooms for an extended period of time. Cheerful.
