A seriously sublime peony. A hidden gem, not well known, grown, or often offered, but absolutely treasured? and heavily lauded by inner circle peony enthusiasts in the know. Constance Spry, a brilliant Saunders plant, produces luminous semi-double flowers with 4 -6 rows of petals in a colour that is described as a deep bright cherry by Silvia Saunders. We would add that the light-capturing blooms also display a salmon-pink hue to them. Flowers are large, up to a showstopping 8 inches, and cupped, and petals have a tissue paper-like texture. Constance Spry is also an excellent landscape subject with a perfectly upright habit and narrow leaflets that are held flat. A magical plant, named after an influential British florist. One flower per stem. Don?t miss out on this one!
