A Saunders peony from his line of P. peregrina crosses, Claudia is a tall, upright plant of good vigor that produces lovely, clear coral-cherry coloured flowers that gracefully fade to salmon pink. Petals are large and broad and marked with white flares on the outside of the petal and flowers are held well above the foliage. Bred by Professor A.P. Saunders, highly regarded as one of the most important peony hybridizers.
