Rich, black smattered with darker plum superimposed on a lighter cream-to-apricot-yellow which emanates from the base of the nectaries outwards then softens to creamy-white; elongated black-cherry-red buds; dark perfectly formed stem with beautiful, arching pedicels. At first glance, the flowers evokes thoughts of a dark, brewing, prairie storm churning overhead. This martagon comes to us from Bryan Bennett and is exclusive to Parkland Peonies.
