Cheddar Surprise is a peony full of surprises with its peak-a-boo golden petaloids and staminodes, transition to a crisp white from blush buds, and fragrance that can go toe to toe with the best in the peony world. Flowers are chock-full of character and highly variable in form, providing immense visual interest in the landscape. Blooms range from semi-double to Japanese-form to anemone to full double.
